Scott Mitnick

In January 2017, Scott Mitnick was appointed County Administrative Officer for Sutter County located just north of Sacramento in Northern California. In this role, Scott leads an organization of over 1,000 employees spread across more than 20 departments with a budget of over $280 million providing an array of municipal services to 100,000 residents over 600 square miles.

Prior municipal government leadership positions include serving as Thousand Oaks City Manager for over 11 years, as well as various public service positions with Yuba City, Burbank and Brea. Scott is actively involved in furthering the city management profession and advocating for effective city government. He was a Board Member for Cal-ICMA and served as its President in 2012. Additionally, he previously held the title of Vice President for the American Society of Public Administrators. Scott is also a member of the International City/County Management Association, California City Management Foundation, and Government Finance Officers Association.
