Founded in 1975, Joe A. Gonsalves & Son represents more cities than any other California Contract Lobbying Firm. Joe Gonsalves served as a member of the California State Assembly from 1962 through 1974. Prior to that he served as a Dairy Valley Council Member including two years as Mayor of the city of Dairy Valley, which is now the city of Cerritos.

Anthony D. Gonsalves joined Joe A. Gonsalves & Son in January of 1977. Anthony was previously employed for a year and one-half by the California State Senate.

In December of 1998, Jason A. Gonsalves, joined Joe A. Gonsalves & Son. That provided Joe A. Gonsalves & Son the proud distinction of being the first Calfironia lobbying firm to have three generations of legislative advocates working on behalf of their clients, which continued until Joe passed away in July 2000. Jason has successfully represented our clients before the Legislature and various state agencies in the areas of local government finance, utilities and commerce, public employee’s retirement, workers’ compensation, telecommunications, and conflict of interest issues.

In October of 2004, Paul A. Gonsalves, joined Joe A. Gonsalves & Son after most recently serving as Legislative Aide to Assemblymember Rudy Bermudez. Prior to working in the Assembly, Paul received a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Public Administration from San Diego State University.
