On Thursday, April 9th, the Association of California Cities – Orange County (ACC-OC) installed their 2015-2016 Board of Directors. The installation was held at the new Tustin Community Center in the Tustin Market Place. There were nearly 200 leaders from local government, businesses, and non-profits that attended the event. Attendees enjoyed live music and appetizers as they mingled in the lobby waiting for the ceremony to begin.
The ceremony opened with a local bagpipe player, Ralph Bates, from the Orange County Fire Authority Pipes and Drums. Following the bagpipes and invocation, Lacy Kelly introduced the ACC-OC‘s dignitaries and thanked each of the association’s 27 sponsors. “We have experienced extraordinary success this year by focusing on our core initiatives; being a catalyst for regional collaboration, a hub for good public policy, and an educational resource for city leaders. Our unprecedented success wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated Board, gracious volunteers, innovative members and devoted staff,” said Lacy. “These people are the driving force, the heartbeat of the ACC-OC, and it is because of them that we continue to move from success to significance.”
