Diane J. Martinez

Diane J. Martinez has served as a member of the City Council of Paramount since 1994. She has served as Mayor of Paramount for four terms during that time. Since 1985, Ms. Martinez has been a full-time elementary school teacher, teaching in the cities of Lynwood, Inglewood and Pico Rivera. She has previously held the positions of vice principal, acting vice principal and reading specialist, as well as a number of other supervisory roles during her career.

Ms. Martinez has served as President of the California Contract Cities Association (CCCA). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Long Beach and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
