Julia McGinnis Joins MuniServices as Client Service Manager

unnamedJulia McGinnis has joined MuniServices as their newest Client Service Manager where she will be dedicated to helping local government in the Southern California region maximize revenue. She brings more than 10 years of experience from the public sector and was most recently responsible for Orange County’s Waste & Recycling renewable energy program and public information office.

“I’m very excited to be working in my own backyard, Orange County and adjacent counties,” said McGinnis. “I have had the opportunity to work with many local officials in Southern California, and have a tremendous amount of respect for the leadership in this region. I look forward to helping them grow their communities.”

Prior to joining MuniServices, while working for Orange County Waste & Recycling, McGinnis served as an advisor to executive leadership and elected officials for the renewable energy program and public information office. Previous work experience includes; the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Reclamation Enterprise Program Management Office and the City of Sacramento.

“The truth is that there is room to improve tax collection and business licensing tools in cities before they need to consider raising new taxes. MuniServices helps city management discover missed revenue opportunities, recover unpaid fees and collect taxes from already existing legislation,” commented McGinnis. “Cities and elected leaders are always interested in finding revenue that does not require a tax increase, and it is rewarding to be able to show cities that there are alternatives and innovations that can help them be more economically stable.”

McGinnis has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Southern California (USC) Sol Price School of Public Policy and a bachelor’s degree from USC.
