ACC-OC 2014 Golden Hub Nominations Now Open

The ACC-OC is now accepting nominations for the 3rd Annual Golden Hub of Innovation Awards. This awards program allows the ACC-OC to recognize cities, special districts, and other public agencies that are developing and implementing innovative solutions that have measurable savings to taxpayers. Strategic partnerships, public engagement and energy are three new innovation categories for this year. This year’s honorees will be announced at the annual dinner on Thursday, June 26 at the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, CA.

“OC’s leaders are the most innovative in the state,” said ACC-OC’s CEO Lacy Kelly. “We’re so proud that we have such strong leaders in our region and are eager to see this year’s crop of innovations.”

In addition to the awards, the Golden Hub of Innovation results in the Compendium of Ideas, a document that compiles all submissions. The Compendium is then broadcast throughout the state to share ideas and offer other jurisdictions opportunities to realize their measurable benefits.

The Governor’s Office of Business & Economic Development honored the Compendium with one of its first “Streamlining Superstars” awards for celebrating innovation in local governments.

Deadline to submit nominations is Friday, May 30th. See the innovation nomination form for more information and eligibility requirements.
