The Cal-ICMA Senior Manager/Encore Manager Committee is hosting a roundtable discussion on encore opportunities at the League of California Cities City Managers Department conference. The dialogue will assist those thinking about their next life phase as well as managers who have already made the transition.The roundtable discussion will be held at the conclusion of the City Managers Department conference on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11:30am at the Marriott Hotel in Newport Beach. All local government managers are invited (as well as their spouses or partners). The conversation will address the variety of encore opportunities available to managers (e.g., consulting, interim management, teaching, non-profit work, volunteering), key concerns and challenges, and available resources to assist those making the transition.Those participating in the roundtable discussion do not have to be registered for the conference. There is no charge for the session.
