California Contract Cities Association Hires New Legislative Analyst, Ilissa Gold

Advancing legislation and tracking the activities of Sacramento has become a growing priority of CCCA and to respond to that, they announced that they have a new resource on the team at CCCA. Ilissa Gold has joined the team as a Legislative Analyst. Her primary responsibilities will be to support the Legislative Committee and track legislative matters for Contract Cities. She will also handle increased communication efforts for CCCA to update the membership on a full array of legislative and CCCA related initiatives.

Gold previously worked as the Southwest Associate Regional Director for J Street, the political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans, where she worked with JStreetPAC-endorsed candidates for Congress from the Southwest region, and before that as an attorney with a boutique land use and real estate law firm representing clients in the cities of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. She is the president and founder of the Miracle Mile Democratic Club and is the youngest president of a non-Young Democrats club in all of Los Angeles County, and was also elected to the Los Angeles County Democratic Central Committee from Assembly District 50 in 2016. Finally, she is a stakeholder member of the Mid-City West Community Council Planning and Land Use Committee. Ilissa received her B.A. in Government from Cornell University and her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis.
