Rita Geldert

Rita Geldert is the Executive Director of the California City Management Foundation. Before her retirement, Ms. Geldert served as City Manager for the City of Vista from 1997-2012. She has been an active board member with CCMF since 2001.

Before becoming Vista’s City Manager, Ms. Geldert served as Vista’s Assistant City Manager, Director of Finance and Administration for the City of Dana Point, Management Services Officer for the City of Merced, and Personnel Officer for the City of Vacaville. She also worked as a Contracts Administrator for Xerox Corporation and as a Personnel Specialist for the California State University system.

Ms. Geldert received her Bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from California State University, Chico, and her Master’s of Business Administration from the University of California, Davis.
