CCCA Hosts April Board of Directors and Annual Election Meeting

The California Contract Cities Association (CCCA) hosted their April Board of Directors and Annual Election Meeting at the Diamond Bar Center in Diamond Bar on April 16th. During the meeting attendees heard from keynote speaker, Los Angeles County Sheriff John Scott. Additionally, new officers were elected and outgoing president, Diamond Bar City Councilmember Steve Tye, was recognized by Assemblymember Curt Hagman, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors 4th District, Los Angeles County Public Works, and the City of Diamond Bar for his contributions to the organization over the past year.

Immediate past president and Paramount City Councilmember Diane Martinez also recognized Mr. Tye saying, “Steve has been a great leader of CCCA, helping us to accomplish a number of goals this past year. He has a great vision and works hard but his best asset is his sense of humor. Working with him is always a pleasure.”

Mr. Tye expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to have served as president of CCCA. “This organization is dedicated to ensuring the best and most effective municipal contracting practices to ensure efficiently run communities for our residents. I am proud of what we do here, and I look forward to seeing this organization continue its progress.”

CCCA Apr BOM Victor

Incoming president, Victor Manalo councilmember from the City of Artesia, updated the audience on the 55th Annual Municipal Seminar to be held in Indian Wells from May 15-18. As incoming president of CCCA the city of Artesia is responsible for organizing and planning with CCCA staff. Notably 250 have already signed up to attend the event with sessions on issues including the city economies, community care, and energy solutions. More information is available here.

A vote was held and the following officers were sustained as the 2014-2015 CCCA Board of Directors:

  • Gustavo Camacho, Vice President, Councilmember, City of Pico Rivera
  • Lou La Monte, Secretary/Treasurer, Councilmember, City of Malibu
  • Sam Pedroza, Director at Large, Councilmember, City of Claremont
  • Nancy Tragarz, Director at Large, Councilmember, City of Walnut
