CCMF Presents Annual Awards to Two Recipients

California City Management Foundation (CCMF) President Wade McKinney presented two awards during a special Awards Luncheon at the 2017 League of California Cities (LOCC) City Managers Department conference. Presented on an annual basis, the awards recognize individuals for their contribution to the city management profession.

The first award was given to Patricia E. Martel, City Manager of Daly City. “Pat Martel has held executive management with several California municipalities including the cities of Inglewood, and South San Francisco. She also has the distinction of having worked for Mayor Willie L. Brown,” said McKinney. “This last year, she served as the President of ICMA and she is on the Board of Directors for CCMF. She is dedicated to the profession and to you.”

The second award was presented to Mark Risco, President and Chief Executive Officer of Willdan Financial Services. “Risco and Willdan provide a wide range of services to California cities and have always been supportive of City Managers,” McKinney continued. “Thank you to Mark and Willdan for many years of support.”

Over the years, CCMF has chosen award recipients based on their hard work and their dedication to the city manager profession. CCMF is committed to recognizing members of the city management community who support their neighbors and colleagues.
