Civiltec Engineering Expands Southern California Footprint With New Office in Fullerton

On December 15, 2020, Civiltec Engineering announced the opening of a new office in Fullerton, California. This new Orange County office will expand Civiltec’s reach in Southern California, service existing Orange County clients and grow the number of clients Civiltec serves in the region.

Civiltec’s Fullerton office is the firm’s fourth branch offering a full range of services including water and wastewater engineering, public works engineering, construction management, surveying and more. Fullerton joins Monrovia as the second California office location, with Phoenix and Prescott comprising the Arizona regional offices.

Civiltec Principal and Senior Engineer C. Shem Hawes, P.E. will serve as Branch Manager of the Fullerton office. Shem became a partner and stockholder in the company in 2014. In his capacity as Principal at Civiltec’s Monrovia office, Shem supervised a large design team, managed project budgets and schedules, allocated team resources effectively to meet projects’ technical and schedule requirements, maintained lines of communication between Civiltec and clients and assisted in Civiltec’s quality assurance and technical review programs. He draws on more than 10 years of professional experience as the responsible engineer for water and wastewater systems analyses, improvement planning, infrastructure design, treatment system design and construction for public and private water agencies throughout the western United States.

“This exciting new office location is made possible by the hard work of Civiltec’s employees who continue to further our mission of delivering world-class engineering, surveying and construction management solutions through communication, innovation and quality service,” said Civiltec President David W. Byrum, P.E.
