CSAC Holds Annual Meeting

The California State Association of Counties will celebrate its 125th year anniversary as an association during its 2019 Annual Meeting in San Francisco The meeting theme is Connecting California’s Communities, and will be taking place from Dec. 3 – 6. CSAC has continuously highlighted the importance of local and state partnerships in its work throughout the year, evidenced in its participation in NACo and federal advocacy, 

The 2019 Annual Meeting will feature thought-provoking speakers, workshops on critical issues of concern for counties, and key updates on the legislative priorities that guide many of our discussions and direct our advocacy efforts.

Other related activities at the Annual Meeting include:

– The Women’s Leadership Forum on Monday afternoon (Dec. 2), followed by a reception that evening. The workshop will focus on “Leading Consciously: Understanding the Science of Unconscious (Implicit) Bias.” Please note that you will be attending this event when filling out your registration. 

-The annual CSAC Innovation Summit that will focus on caring for California’s children. 

The CSAC Agriculture, Environment & Natural Resources Policy Committee will meet Tuesday morning, as well as the Clerks of the Board, who will kick off their annual meeting track of events. 

– Thursday night will feature the Annual Banquet and swearing in of CSAC’s new officers, and, new this year, an Awards Breakfast on Thursday morning.
