Tripepi Smith welcomed David Gushue, a recent Claremont McKenna College graduate, as its newest Junior Business Analyst on June 13, 2022.
David graduated with Cum Laude Honors from Claremont McKenna College with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics; and Literature. He has had a strong interest in creative writing and storytelling for as long as he can remember, and his interest in local government policy was sparked through his Intro to Political Philosophy class freshman year.
“Tripepi Smith provides a service that reflects what is great about local government: the ability to reach out and connect with constituents to help explain policy decisions with an air of familiarity,” said David. “As someone with interests in policy and creative writing, I can appreciate all that Tripepi Smith does to create and maintain trust between municipalities and their citizens.”
While earning his Bachelor’s Degree, David worked as a Head Consultant for the Claremont McKenna Center for Writing and Public Discourse. There he tutored students of all disciplines and organized school-wide events to improve student writing. In this role, David developed a knack for analytical writing and an appreciation for the importance of one-on-one interactions and trust building.
