RPLG Partner Jon Holtzman and RPPG Managing Director of Government Affairs Dane Hutchings will speak on panels at the League of California Cities’ Annual Conference this year.
On October 7 from 2:30-3:45 p.m., Jon moderated a panel on wildfire preparation and response with panelists Charlie Crocker, Founder and CEO of Zonehaven; Tim Woodbury, Director of State and Local Government Affairs at Splunk; and Dave Winnacker, Fire Chief of the Moraga-Orinda Fire District. The session, titled “Using Big Data to Reduce Catastrophic Impacts of Wildfire,” discussed the development of comprehensive mitigation plans.
“Wildfires pose unique, critical threats to California public agencies,” said Jon. “I look forward to being on this panel, which will share super innovative approaches to this issue.”
Dane shared his knowledge and expertise on pension issues in “Rates, Policies and Reforms… How COVID-19 Will Impact CalPERS Employers,” along with Jasmine Nachtigall-Fournier, the president and co-founder of GovInvest Inc. Sacramento Deputy City Manager Leyne Milstein moderated the panel, which was slotted for 1:00-2:15 p.m. on October 7.
