In the latest edition of California Choice Energy Authority’s (CalChoice) “Meet the CCA Team” article series, we spotlight the newly appointed members of CalChoice’s Board of Directors.
“As CalChoice continues to pioneer clean energy solutions, the evolution of the board underscores our dedication to addressing the complexities of the energy landscape,” said Executive Director Jason Caudle. “Sustainability and community impact will always be the core values of this organization and the individuals who lead it.”
CalChoice is a joint powers authority dedicated to helping cities within Southern California Edison territory operate Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) programs while maintaining local control. The eight associate member agencies each play a crucial role in providing cleaner and more affordable energy options to their communities, located throughout California.
The recent induction of new board members marks a historic shift from sole representation of the Lancaster City Council to a more representative group. This change brings fresh perspectives and expertise in local government, positioning CalChoice to advance its clean energy initiatives and drive significant progress across the state.
CalChoice is led by Chief Executive Officer Jason Caudle and is now working with the new board members who represent each member of CalChoice, including:
- Doug Robertson, Town Manager of Apple Valley;
- Janelle Samson, Director of Finance for the City of Palmdale;
- George Harris, Director of Finance for the City of Lancaster;
- Steve Carmona, City Manager of Pico Rivera;
- Chris Diggs, Water Resources Director for the City of Pomona;
- Jessica Pulliam, Senior Management Analyst for the City of Rancho Mirage;
- Tom Pril, Deputy City Manager of San Jacinto
- Alelia Parenteau, Sustainability and Resilience Director for the City of Santa Barbara.
