CalChoice Associate Members, in partnership with OhmConnect, are offering residential customers a special opportunity to help reduce energy use and save on electricity bills.
“CalChoice is committed to ensuring that each of our partnered CCAs have access to innovative programs that benefit customers and the environment,” said CalChoice Executive Director Jason Caudle. “We are thrilled to collaborate with OhmConnect on an innovative program that rewards customers for energy conservation.”
OhmConnect offers a free service that pays customers for the energy they don’t use. Customers who sign up will automatically receive $10 cash and a thermostat for $0.99 (a value of $129.99) or two smart plugs if they connect their utility.
“Pomona Choice Energy is proud to participate in the second phase of OhmConnect’s program,” said Pomona Mayor Tim Sandoval. “Our customers will benefit from reduced energy expenses and the program will help keep California’s electricity grid stable during Summer heatwaves.”
Beyond monetary benefits, the program will also help keep customers informed about timeframes during the week when it is critical to conserve power, allowing them to make informed choices about when to unplug energy-consuming devices and appliances.
