Regional Mayor’s Summit Set for April 5

Speakers include Antonio Villaraigosa, Former Mayor of Los Angeles, Hilda Solis, First District Representative, and Kathryn Barger, Fifth District Representative, LA County Board of Supervisors

The Second Annual Regional Mayor’s Summit will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at the Pacific Palms Resort in the City of Industry.

The Regional Mayor’s Summit brings together elected officials and city, special district, school and utility agency staff to consider innovations that may shape the futures of public agencies and service delivery models. This year’s Summit theme is, “Tomorrow’s Community Now.” Training a thoughtful eye toward the future, distinguished panelists and speakers will offer expert insight into topics ranging from policies and regulations to technology and trends.

Topics will include Cannabis Economics and Regulations, Smart Cities of the Future – Innovative Technologies, Cybercrime and Security, The Arts and Economic Growth, Drone Policies and Innovation, Impacts of the Sharing Economy, Stormwater and Waste Management, The Future of Education, and Drucker Playbook for the Public Sector.
