In May of 2017, Gioconda Padilla, Director of Procurement and Contract Services of the Glendale Unified School District, contracted with ProcureAmerica to optimize costs and operations associated with waste and recycling, print management, utilities and telecommunications. As part of the District’s multi-year budget development process, they sought ProcureAmerica’s expertise to help permanently reduce costs and improve efficiency. Through this partnership, the District saved approximately $600,000 per year, or $3,000,000 over the course of five years.

Ms. Padilla returned to ProcureAmerica for similar consulting services when she took on a new role in the Torrance Unified School District as a Communication Services Director. Torrance Unified sought assistance with three expense reduction projects involving telecommunications, utilities and waste and recycling. On behalf of Torrance Unified, ProcureAmerica performed extensive studies, contract analyses and forensic invoice reviews while assessing the unique needs of each individual school. Operations were streamlined in each of the three service areas, resulting in $180,000 in annual savings for the District.
