Power Choice+ is transforming how commercial and industrial customers access sustainable energy in Southern California. This innovative program, developed by California Choice Energy Authority (CalChoice) in partnership with Participate.Energy, removes upfront costs and credit underwriting, enabling eligible businesses to seamlessly adopt solar and battery systems.
“The Power Choice+ program empowers local businesses by eliminating financial barriers to renewable energy,” said CalChoice Executive Director Jason Caudle. “Our goal is to support companies in their transition to sustainable energy while providing predictability in energy costs.”
Qualified commercial customers can take advantage of custom-designed, fully managed solar and battery installations with no upfront costs. Each business location undergoes a thorough evaluation to determine its suitability for the program, allowing for tailored solutions that address specific energy needs while ensuring professional system maintenance and enhanced grid resilience. Bravery Brewing, as the program’s inaugural commercial partner in collaboration with Lancaster Energy, exemplifies how businesses can leverage these innovative solutions to achieve sustainability.
“Seeing local businesses like Bravery Brewery adopt this program showcases our commitment to fostering accessible energy solutions,” continued Jason. “This partnership is a testament to our mission of making sustainable energy solutions accessible to everyone.”
The expansion of the Power Choice program illustrates how community energy initiatives can foster the adoption of renewable energy, equipping not only residents but also businesses and industrial customers with the tools necessary to contribute to a more sustainable future.
