Valerie Escalante Troesh Elevated to Partner at Silver & Wright LLP

Silver & Wright LLP congratulates Valerie Escalante Troesh on her promotion to our team of partners, effective August 1.

“As the firm’s first female minority partner, and a mother of two, to join Silver & Wright’s leadership, we are excited to see her continue to bring a valued perspective and contribution to the team,” said Founding Partner Curtis Wright. “Her numerous talents, vast expertise, and expansive practice make her an invaluable asset to our firm and we look forward to seeing her continue to expertly serve our clients.”

Escalante Troesh represents public agencies in all aspects of code enforcement to aid in our clients’ goals of protecting and bettering their communities.

Her work stems across advising our clients on municipal codes for compliance with legal requirements of State legislative mandates and constitutional due process; governmental obligations and liabilities under Federal, State, and local laws; administrative proceedings; and more.

She also works hand-in-hand with our clients to affirmatively remediate blighted and/or drug and criminally plagued properties through her management of Health & Safety Code, Business & Professions Code, and Code of Civil Procedure receivership and nuisance abatement litigation. Escalante Troesh also works to protect the integrity of our clients’ governmental actions through defending our public agency clients in administrative appeal hearings, writs of mandamus, as well as Federal and State litigation.

“I am proud to have been recognized for my significant contribution to Silver & Wright’s hardworking, intelligent and skillful team of partners,” Escalante Troesh said. “I look forward to advancing my practice as a partner to further serve cities and help improve safety and wellbeing in the communities we work with.”

Escalante Troesh first joined Silver & Wright in 2017 after years of experience representing public entities at one of the State’s largest municipal law firms as well as handling high stakes litigation in her extensive private sector practice. She also regularly hosts webinars through the California Association of Code Enforcement Officers on a number of topics to offer code enforcement officers across the state the resources they need to serve their communities.

Escalante Troesh earned her Juris Doctorate and L.L.M from Cornell Law School and her undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley.
