On April 7, 2018, Civiltec Engineering helped the Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD) kick off its Earth Day celebrations by sponsoring and participating in the 2018 Earth Day and Open House. Principal David Song and Marketing/Project Coordinator Caitlyn Padilla hosted a booth with a buoyancy experiment where kids and adults alike tested out their hypotheses of the buoyancy of balloons filled with water, soda, diet soda, and sugar water.
The Earth Day event offered attendees a wide span of resources and engaging activities, including over 50 vendors and booths, from solar panel companies to community groups to kids’ activities.
“This year’s Earth Day & Open House event was the best yet,” commented President Jim Curatalo. “We are excited that people of all ages were able to join us in celebrating Earth Day and had a great time learning more about CVWD and the environment.”
Over 1,500 community members attended the celebration. David and Caitlyn engaged directly with the community as well as other representatives from agencies that Civiltec is partnered with.
