The Town of Prescott Valley is expanding their current water storage system within the Town limits. Civiltec Engineering has contracted with the Town of Prescott Valley for the design of two pre-stressed concrete tanks to supplement the capacity of the system.

Civiltec Engineering was selected by the City of Alhambra to improve its Sewer Lift Station #4. Located on Westmont Drive, the existing sewer lift station has caused disruptions to the City’s customers and, at times, has caused sewage backups in nearby homes due to its lack of depth.

Civiltec Engineering is once again partnering with the City of Los Angeles for a project at the Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant (DCTWRP). Civiltec had previously worked with the City to build the plant – the City’s first design-build project.

The Southern California Water Utilities Agency (SCWUA) hosted a Vendors Fair at the Irwindale Speedway on September 13, 2018. SCWUA hosts various programs each year to foster cooperation between members and their respective agencies and companies, as well as assist the exchange of information relevant to the water industry.

On the afternoon of July 18, 2018, a large rainfall event occurred in the North Schultz Fire scar. The Thames and Peaceful Way watersheds received the largest rainfall totals. Approximately 6- inches of rain occurred within a 2-hour period.

The South Archibald Plume Cleanup Project (SAPCP) is being implemented under a Cleanup and Abatement Order (CAO) to alleviate teracholoroethylene (TCE) contamination, as well as 1,2,3-TCP, percholorate, and hexavalent chromium in groundwater under a portion of Ontario, California.
