Tripepi Smith proudly welcomed Karla Tovar as its newest Senior Business Analyst in May 2025. Bringing over a decade of public sector experience, Karla adds valuable expertise in strategic communications, government relations and community engagement.
Karla has led communications efforts for several Los Angeles County agencies, managing a wide range of responsibilities including external and internal communications, crisis response and media relations. Most recently, she served as the Head of Marketing and Communications for the LA County Probation Department, where she directed public information campaigns, stakeholder engagement strategies and emergency communications efforts.

Karla holds a Master of Arts in Communication Management from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Communication from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
