    On December 15, 2022, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) voted to approve NEM 3.0, an updated policy that modernizes the NEM solar tariff to promote solar and battery storage, support grid reliability and control electricity costs for all Californians.

Downtowns create a concentrated area for commercial, cultural, and civic activities. In April 2023, the City of Manteca released the Small Business Assistance Matching Grant (SBAMG) and Façade Improvement Matching Grant Program (FIMG), in order to support the growth and expansion of local businesses and prioritize the revitalization of Downtown Manteca.

  • California JPIA Member Arroyo Grande Receives National Recognition for Upgraded Inclusive Playground

    California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (California JPIA) member, the City of Arroyo Grande, in partnership with the Arroyo Grande Valley Kiwanis Club, recently opened the Kiwanis Inclusive Playground. The playground, formerly known as Elm Street Park Playground, the first of its kind in the nation, incorporates four of the five National Demonstration Site (NDS) designations.
