Founded in 1969, the California Municipal Revenue and Tax Association is a statewide organization serving California local government tax and revenue professionals and includes over 300 California local government revenue agencies. CMRTA provides its members with current tax and revenue education, training, certification, and representation in relevant legislative efforts. CMRTA creates partnerships with other agencies with mutual interests and promotes the highest levels of professional services and ethics to the public. CMRTA provides education and training to its members in all aspects of revenue and permits, supports the highest level of professional services to the public, creates partnerships with agencies and organizations of mutual interest and sponsors and supports effective legislation.
