Created in 1971 by the Orange County Board of Supervisors, the OC Human Relations Commission was founded with the goal of fostering understanding between the people of Orange County and promoting measures to counter prejudice, intolerance and discrimination. Now a division of OC Human Relations, the group is made up of 11 commissioners, six appointed by the Board of Supervisors and five chosen by the Orange County League of Cities. Meetings are held on the second Thurs. of every month and are open to the public. |
